Roots and Blessings
Sitting in stillness, I realize how blessed we are. Looking past the noise of technology and seeing the ones who do the groundwork, whether under the hot sun or in the rainstorm. They find joy in their purpose, giving love through the work of their hands, providing not just for themselves but for all of us. Thinking of the farmers something touched my soul, and I felt called to write this in appreciation. A reminder that they give from love, not for likes. Showing that love is the healing of the world and it is where we all must return, for it is where we will find true purpose in what to do.
Sometimes people say farmers not special.
But they are special to me.
They made me who I am, so I cannot lose my way.
They support the rich and the poor,
never biased,
feeding the children good food,
making them big and strong.
They introduce the little ones to sweet fruit,
better than any candy,
and give them bush tea,
better than medication,
healing the nation through the powers of Mother Nature.
They give the world what Nature gave,
expressing love through the trees,
seeing beauty in the flowers,
meditating in the hills,
connecting with the Master within,
a mystical power flowing through them,
speaking words of wisdom.
And for the farmers in the hot sun,
feeling the heat,
feeling the fire within,
when they close their eyes at night,
they shine like the stars they are.
So, I say
Farmers, how special you are.
You are the life of the earth.
You provide food and life.
You carry ancient teachings
that cannot be taught in any class,
something so pure
it can never be fabricated.
You are so fabulous
that people wonder how great you can be.
But I know.
For you have learned patience,
expressing a love so bright
that some try to mislead others,
saying you are not important.
But every night I pray by the hills
that in the morning I rise
to hear the river singing its song,
the birds humming peace into my spirit.
For though the world is rough,
I know the Most High will guide.
So, I release the worries of yesterday
and live for today.
I cannot let anger or hatred linger in my heart.
I must show love.
Love must win the war.
Knowledge may be wealth,
but wisdom is the strength of life.
And the strength of the Most High keeps me going
through the love of Mother Nature
and her powerful sounds.
