Free Thy Self

They stopped killing the flesh,

and tricked you into thinking you’re free.

But they lied, my brother.

They still try to kill your soul,

telling you you’re saved,

but it’s all a lie.

How can they free you

from something they don’t understand?

Only you can free yourself.

The path to freedom begins within.

Look within,

look within yourself,

see who you are.

Seek knowledge to know yourself.

Let “know thyself” be your motto.

Let it liberate you,

and let your consciousness rise.

Gain deeper spiritual connection.

Know the higher power within,

know how great you are.

And through the knowledge of self, you’ll gain

knowledge of the universe.

The knowledge to see that we are all one,

to see no hate but to see love,

to let go of opinion and just live,

live in a world of peace.

A world you weren’t groomed to live in,

but through looking within,

you’ll find the joy to seek something else.

Because you’ll want more,

you’ll know there has to be more than they said.

So, you’ll seek more

and refuse mental slavery.

You'll discover that

“Information, you think on your own,

or you’re a slave to the things you know.”

From that, you'll open your horizon

and learn to live in the truth,

the truth that brings you joy.

N othing in this world  can offer me the love that Mother Nature offers. For Mother Nature is the mother of all, the mother of my mother, and the mother of me. Mother Nature taught my mother love, and into me, love was poured. Into my children that love shall be expressed, for love is everywhere just as nature is everywhere  because nature is love. Nature teaches how to love genuinely, expressing a feeling no one can explain, no one can destroy. And when they think they’ve destroyed it, love continues to grow in other places, blazing higher and higher, offering gratitude, offering protection, making people know that through all things, they can overcome.   I sat at work, staring at the sky after the rain, when a rainbow appeared. It wasn’t just the rainbow it was the sky, the sun setting, the beauty of the world. I fell in love with what I saw. As the full moon rose, the power of love showed me that the universe is one being. As I acknowledged it, it acknowledged me. I felt love, and the words came. I knew I was loved, for the universe shined a light so bright it demanded to be shared. O h, Universe, how beautiful you are.
